lol is it really a 'remake'?

according to google, miss me with that is a phrase that none of the people involved in either of these tracks invented, there's even a new Mary J Blige song called Miss Me With That. the phrase is the only thing the two tracks have in common as far as i can hear...

It's a hood thing we've been saying for years. We recorded the song in 2007 when I brought Krazy Race up from LA and Typical Cats from Chicago to play my 1st Annual Gemini Party @ Berbatis Pan. Trust, we certainly popularized the saying in the city of Portland and also up and down the West Coast being that the song was released 1st on my 2nd Mixtape & again on my brothers 2nd album, which was distributed through Realizm Rekords (Whittier, CA.), worldwide. They say they never heard the song, I call bullshit on that BUT they also admitted that we did it the concept first and gave us props saying we 'killed it' AND agreed to shout us out any time someone props the concept. Which may seem petty to some BUT when it comes to being artists who pride themselves at least partially on being original in concept, rhyme stylings and delivery... that's important. YES, WE DID IT FIRST... Period.

And it wouldnt be the 1st time an underground OR mainstream artist has bit my or my brothers shit either. Me and Cool Nutz or more specifically Terminilll had a recent tiff because he released a beat that I already rapped to and put out in '07 and not only that, also flipped another sample on the same record that I already put out in '05.... Now that by itself would be whatever to me.. But a beat jack AND a sample jack on the SAME ALBUM, IN THE SAME TOWN, AND WE ALL KNOW EACHOTHER...? We had a problem, so I aired it out. And though the arguments that followed became heated at times, we HAD TO open that line of communication up to get some closure to the issue.

Now as far as Lol'ing at 'remake'... That was putting it nicely. I could have jus said THEY BIT MY SHIT! But naw, they said they aint do it... I dint press the issue because they already gave us the props. Which in itself can be called an admission to unoriginality of the track so I'd have been perfectly within my rights as a head to claim copykitten. I been makin music in this town and abroad longer than anyone on this board, and though I dont need motherfuckers suckin my dick nor do I try to ride off that w/o consistently validating my place in this game, I will get my respect as a master of this craft and culture, an Original & a verifiable OG in these streets, the penitentiary and all over the globe as a solid, honest and dependable individual. To put it more simply, I aint bullshittin homie! What you think I'ma post a claim like this w/o having some proof or validation?? LOL... If you post here often homie.. You'll get to know me better than that.

haha at first when i heard the track on the 9dm album i thought they'd just decided to expand on the "miss me with all that" line from the Turned Out track on Chron... had no idea there was all this history behind it.
