iAME - Felt So Real + Today (Video)

Permanent Linkby Story on Tue Apr 12, 2011 12:51 am

“Felt So Real” is a fictional story of IAME being drugged by his girl, only to wake up repeatedly unsure if he’s dreamt it or not. It questions the trust put into relationships and the idea that reality might not be as concrete as you think. The chorus features Toni Hill's beautiful voice, which compliments the soulful production by Smoke M2D6 (Oldominion). Told in IAME’s illustrative style, the story keeps you guessing as to what is really going on.

“Today” puts you in his actual reality, telling his story of working to come up in the music game, and his goals with his art. Direct and real about his situation as always, IAME comes strong with dexterous wordplay over a straight up banger.

Both songs are from his third studio album "Lame" due out on May 31st, 2011 on Taxidermy Records and Heaven Noise.

I should say something profoundly creative in this space right here.

dope video, if i'm not mistaken this is the work of phil haleen of taxidermy records. the chemistry on this song is dope - between smoke's beat (which goes HARD) toni's singing and IAMe's flow.

this is a testament to how worth it is to work with people that can realize a common vision. props to all involved, especially smoke for the production-in my opinion the well placed vocal samples tie the whole piece together.
